Pamela de Brí Re: Place, Exhibition of Painting and Printmaking by Pamela de Brí The selected body of work in Re: Place takes a fresh look at and draws attention to social and demographic changes in rural Ireland. The artist explores themes of place – land, home, location, placing and replacing. This land, inhabited for over 10,000 years, has changed and developed over time. People come and go and leave their personal, historical and cultural marks on the landscape in both the natural and developed environment, all adding to the metamorphosing deep map of the land. Re: Place brings the different strands together, documenting these ever changing shifts in rural Ireland.
