DESCRIPTION:\n\nShortt’s paintings explore an underwater world where obse
 rvation and imagination mingle. Her collaboration with Bantry Marine Resea
 rch Station and her exploration of the wild kelp forests of West Cork draw
  on scientific research and encounters with the marine environment. Inspir
 ed by wildness and abundance\, the paintings evoke a luminous world just o
 ut of reach\, offering glimpses of the richness and possibility held withi
 n these marine environments\, probing biodiversity\, belonging\, deep time
  and future long time. Preview by Dr Julie Maguire of Bantry Marine Resear
 ch Station\, 12–2pm\, 26 September\; thereafter Wed–Sun 12–5pm. Free
