SUMMARY:Rhizomatic Time | Mick O'Kelly at the European Parliament Building\
 , Brussels
DESCRIPTION:\n\nRhizomatic Time is a work that explores concepts of Time wi
th Neurologists\, Neuroscience and the patients at Tallaght University Hos
pital and St James Hospital Dublin. Time is not as universally shared as w
e might think. People living with cognitive disorders live in a kind of li
mbo\, a kind of out of time. In the most extreme they live beyond language
\, grammar and syntax. This must feel like living on the limits of being h
uman. We are making a series of etching clock drawings with time mechanism
 s. The work probes how do we grasp the significance of the unreadability a
nd how we live among our most vulnerable whose time we do not share.\nThis
Project is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and Culture Ireland.
