SUMMARY:Room Innate | Danny Foley at Studio 12
DESCRIPTION:\n\nRoom Innate presents a new body of work by artist Danny Fol
ey\, developed through the Backwater Artists Group Moving Image Bursary\,
awarded to Foley in 2025.\nThis installation explores artistic play as a c
reative strategy for negotiating the self as shapeshifting\, multifaceted\
, and inherently vulnerable. The show consists of black-and-white painting
 s on canvas\, a stop-motion video\, re-edited archival footage from his ch
ildhood\, and small-scale clay sculptures. Through making\, experimentatio
n\, and repetition\, Foley uses these processes as a way to engage with un
certainty\, doubt\, and ambiguity rather than seeking to resolve them.
