Ruth Le Gear (* 1985 Ireland) and Anton Kirchmair (* 1943 Munich) Kirchmair will cycle 200 km from Bischofsreut to Schwandorf and collect his exhibition material along the way, only taking with him what he can carry on his bicycle. From this, and also from the materials that he finds on site, he will situationally develop his presentation. In 2017 Ruth Le Gear explored the waters of Schwandorf while on residency. Her work uses experiential and geographic research to express the innate power of water. She uses a combination of lens-based media and installation to reflect on the potentials of one drop of water. The resulting works will be exhibited in the Künstlerhaus, while at the same time showing a number of exhibits from the Stadtmuseum Schwandorf which deeply reflect Le Gears work.
