SUMMARY:Sea Skin | Niamh Seana Meehan at The MAC
DESCRIPTION:\nSea Skin features a tactile soft sculpture inspired by the ex
perience of sea swimming and encounters beneath the ocean’s surface.\n\n
\n\nDrawing from site visits to the islands of West Cork\, the textures an
d colours of the piece reflect the diverse types of seaweed that embrace t
he coastal landscape.\n\n\n\nThe installation invites viewers to engage wi
th the textile sculpture\, as soft\, airy fabrics gently brush against you
 r skin\, encouraging tactile exploration through hand-sewn strands.\n\n\n\
