The exhibition features selected works by Kerrin Buck between 2011 and 2021. The work comes from the series ‘Pandemic Space’ and ‘The Labours of the Father’. Pandemic space is a return for the artist to realism through water colour. ‘Pandemic space is shrinking we are becoming more intimate yet painfully confined. The portraits such as .All the piggies went to market’ try to capture the discomfort and lack of space, drawing the the eye back to the human form.
‘The Labours of the father’ are a works from a large series of work created with a pastel overlay technique discovered by the artist inspired by Sean Scully the work is on themes of Labour, Time and Space. The artists work has been popular with collectors in particularly in the Wicklow area.
