SUMMARY:Seomra Comhrá | Melanie O'Rourke at The Glen Tavern
DESCRIPTION:The Glen Tavern in partnership with F.L.P. (Fun Limerick Produc
tions) present Seomra Comhrá (Conversation Room)\, combining the convivia
l setting of the traditional Irish Public House and the imagination of art
ists. Melanie O’Rourke\, will be the 2nd artist to exhibit\, showing a s
election of small works spanning the past 20 years. O’Rourke’s practic
e is rooted in close observation of everyday life\, drawing attention to o
bjects and scenes that often go unnoticed. Reflective surfaces and shiftin
g textures draw the viewer in\, while an underlying tension between light
and dark\, nostalgia and unease\, gives the work a lingering sense of ambi
 guity.\n\n\n\n
