SLEEPERTOWN is a new public art programme that features projects from national and international artists, curated by Richard Carr. This self-guided listening walk will encourage people to move through the town of Gorey to specific places, immersing themselves in art along the way. The programme will feature six diverse sonic artworks at the following locations: St Michael’s Cemetery, Gorey Train Station, Market Square, Turas Nua, Ramsfort Woods, and the Circe Pavilion. SLEEPERTOWN is initiated by OpenGorey and funded by Wexford County Council through its Small Arts Festival & Experimental Events Fund. The project has been further supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and Echoes. Members of the public can complete the walk in their own time on the night (and for six months after) using the Echoes app. Map
