DESCRIPTION:Askeaton Contemporary Arts presents Aurora Tang\, Center for La
 nd Use Interpretation (CLUI) Programme Director\, to talk about her recent
  projects.\n\nCLUI Programme Director Aurora Tang will share recent curato
 rial and research projects from the Center for Land Use Interpretation (CL
 UI)\, a non-profit research organisation interested in exploring and under
 standing contemporary landscape issues in the United States. Founded in 19
 94 and headquartered in Los Angeles\, the organisation has been continuous
 ly producing and presenting exhibitions\, publications\, research resource
 s\, tours\, lectures\, and public programming—all about the built landsc
 ape of the USA as a reflection of its culture and economy.\n\nAurora Tang 
 is a curator and researcher based in Los Angeles\, California. She has wor
 ked with the Center for Land Use Interpretation since 2009\, and currently
  serves as its programme director. As an independent curator Tang has orga
 nized recent exhibitions at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture (West 
 Hollywood\, California)\, MOCA Tucson (Tucson\, Arizona)\, and Armory Cent
 er for the Arts (Pasadena\, California). Tang was managing director of Hig
 h Desert Test Sites (Joshua Tree\, California).\n\nAskeaton Contemporary A
 rts is an artist-led organisation based out of a small town in Limerick si
 nce 2006. An ongoing residency programme creates critical cultural encount
 ers in the midst of the Irish countryside each summer\, while public progr
 ammes\, a dedicated publishing press and exhibitions in Askeaton and elsew
 here over two decades all aim to find innovative public contexts and resil
 ient relationships for new forms of artmaking to emerge. For current progr

 rtunities for artists to access space in the city for peer learning\, arti
