… the world not made yet marks a new phase in Peadar Lamb’s studio practice. With investigations of shape, material and volume, he disassembles to rebuild. Progressions of formal investigations are inspired by the poetics of space and counterintuitive strategies: architecture without buildings, light without windows, and space without measurements. These include stained glass works, for which Peadar is known for, plus new wall mounted sculptural works and bronzes. This new group of works also includes new photographic and tapestry pieces showing novel surfaces for Peadar’s exploration of line. … the world not made yet addresses renewal by manipulating diverse aesthetics, matters of scale, and material presences. Works emphasise how subtle gestural changes impact on how objects are perceived and experienced. All move toward recognition that the world is always there to be remade.
