SUMMARY:Threading Memories | Gráinne Mulligan at Siamsa Tíre Theatre &amp
 \; Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:\n\nExhibition runs 07/09/26-19/09/27.\nThreading Memories cent
res on a crocheted quilt made over one hundred years ago by the artist's g
randmother in Beale\, County Kerry. Through painting\, thread drawing\, sc
ulpture and archival material\, the exhibition explores how objects can ca
rry memory across generations\, holding the traces of the hands that made
them and the lives they have touched.\nFor the artist\, the quilt is more
than a family heirloom. It is a witness to acts of care\, ritual and makin
g\, connecting generations of women whose lives were shaped by thread. Rep
eated throughout the exhibition\, the quilt becomes both subject and metho
 d.
