TORCH Collective (Taking On Rape culture, Consent, and sexual Health), presents “Exploring Trauma & Resilience,” an exhibition of visual art on themes of survivorship, healing, sexuality, and gender. This exhibit will include pieces from 13 artists across Ireland and will be located at A4 Sounds from Thursday 11th April – Wednesday 17th April, 2019.
Opening night will kick off with a reception from 6-10PM on Thursday 11th April, where we will simultaneously be releasing our second issue of the TORCH zine. At 8PM sharp, there will be a speaker’s panel comprised of community leaders doing work related to our themes, including members of Queer Action Ireland (QAI), Sex Worker’s Alliance Ireland (SWAI), Migrants and Ethnic minorities for Reproductive Justice (MERJ), and more.
On Saturday, 11th April, we will be hosting a series of workshops at A4 sounds on topics of Consent and Sexual health as well as DIY sex toy making, from 11AM-3PM.
Artists in this exhibition include: Caitlin Gallagher, Kim Kennedy, Karen Browett, Becks Butler, Niamh Coffey, Marion Weymes, Xavier Lux, Ciara Burke, Amalgama Art, Denise Conroy, Zara Sargent, Christopher Clery, and a group piece by Dana Domenech, Helena Roig, Sergi Vilavella, and Laura Fargues.
