DESCRIPTION:Up There\, for Space Week\, and from 27th September - 25th Octo
 ber 2025\, at MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory\, Marie Bryan explores elem
 ents of scale and dimension\, undescribed and unfathomable\, using her viv
 id imagination. She seeks new ground. Her aspiration to adventure and to t
 he magical lead her to paint a ‘parallel’ with astrophysics\, and she 
 now finds herself artistically inspired\, Up There\, investigating dark ma
 tter. High-octane colour is how she sees it.\nOpening Reception 7pm Monday
  29th September. Artist Talk 6pm Saturday 11th October.\nMarie Bryan is a 
 student of Fine Art at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design. Her collect
 ion of portraits of residents of Cork Simon Community\, "Pleased to meet y
 ou"\, was exhibited at Cork Airport in November 2023\, and in eight Cork C
 ity Libraries from June 2024 to March 2025. Her solo exhibition "Shadow Si
 de and the Artist's Escape" was hosted at MTU Cork School of Music\, Janua
 ry - February 2025. She was contracted by the Irish Defence Forces to pain
 t for the Irish Navy\, June - August 2025.
