Video Series with Artist Nicola Anthony

In a search for creative ways to problem solve during this time, Nicola Anthony has decided to share with you her learnings and mistakes, along with words from her own creative mentors.
“This photo was me in Jan, working on a project in Bangkok before rushing home to self isolate. Looking back to the very start of all this, it seems like a world away.
I have been doing research on loneliness and isolation via the work I have done in the past 1-2 years with isolated or disenfranchised communities, my solo show in Jan with the Wexford Arts Centre was literally about loneliness, called “A desire for closeness” (would you believe it?!).
As a result I have decided to launch a video series, to share what I learned from that, as well as interviews and discussions with my art world mentors about getting through these unusual times we are in.”

Here are the first three episodes:
Art critic Tabish Khan & the voice of the Inner Critic
Recognising and quietening negative thoughts. This episode explores the feelings of guilt and self-lambasting that many people experience when they are given the time and space to turn the critical eye upon their lives. I know that creatives deal with this daily while trying to stay self-motivated, and right now I am willing to bet the whole world is experiencing this in their solitary moments.
