Live performance: BETWEEN LOW TIDE (16.20) AND SUNSET(18.25)
Sunday 17 October 2021
Claremont Beach Howth (behind Howth Dart Station)
Performance by Elaine Grainger with sculpture, drawing and sound
When time felt out of rhythm, like it was spiralling out of control, plans halted and travels abandoned. Life no longer seemed embedded in any ordering structures or coordinates that would found duration. I looked at what I knew were constants. The eternal rising and setting of the sun. The cyclical phases of the moon and the movements of the tides. Recognising if I abandoned my timetable and returned to that of nature, I could then begin to navigate new journeys.
