Vital Material curated by Mary Ruth Walsh is what you’ll see in the Creative Hub’s Opera Festival exhibition in Wexford’s new Bull Ring artist’s work and studio spaces. The new Creative Hub is home to over 25 artists and craft makers as well as young musicians based in Wexford County. There’s a mixture of working studios, exhibition, retail and workshop space. Spearheaded by Wexford County Council’s Arts Officer Liz Burns in association with Wexford Arts Centre, it’s the envy of many counties.
Many of the artist’s have an enviable track record from exhibiting in Electric Picnic, a Royal Ulster Academy award, OPW purchase and Local County Council awards to name a few. This new Hub provides subsidised work and studio spaces and is exciting as a focus point for meeting and connecting. The studios operate as an open application annually, and the artists are Helen Gaynor, Fran Greene, Bernadette Doolan, The Maker’s House, Declan Cody, Wexford Arts Hub, Olivia O’Dwyer, Fergus Doyle, Ceri Ryan and Ciaran Bowen. This is a must see exhibition of recent graduate’s work to experienced professionals.
