DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to present this body of paintings and drawings
  by Simon Carter. Spanning more than a decade\, the works bear witness to 
 his sustained and intimate engagement with the diminishing salt marshes of
  the North Essex coastline. The threshold where land meets water will reso
 nate with Irish landscape enthusiasts\, yet Carter approaches this terrain
  with a finely judged balance of abstraction and figuration. Simon Carter 
 is a co-founder of the British Contemporary Painting platform\, and is rep
 resented by Messum's Gallery in London.
