Wishing Won’t Make it So | Catherine Ellis at Art Arcadia, Derry
Art Arcadia are delighted to present Wishing Won’t Make it So, an exhibition by Catherine Ellis marking the end of her five-week artist residency at St Augustine’s Old Schoolhouse.
Ellis works across a range of media: installation, sculpture, photography, print, video and sound. Influenced by social and political elements as much as literature and the everyday, she is interested in creating imaginative situations in order to generate narratives.
Born in Derry and a graduate of University of Ulster, Ellis has taken part in a number of curated and selected exhibitions. Most recently The Stone Tapes, a sound installation project for the Walled City 400 Years, funded by Derry City and Strabane Council.
Opens Friday 13th March 6:00pm and continues Saturday 14th until Saturday 21st. Closed Sunday and Monday.
