Kiln Carving – make a unique gift for yourself or someone special.
Kiln Carving is a technique that combines glass fusing and slumping to give a bas-relief or carved effect to the fused glass. The image or pattern is cut into Fibre Paper with a craft knife to create a shallow ‘mould’, the glass is stacked on top of the cut paper and fired in a kiln. The glass melts into the mould, taking on the contours of the pattern. You will create two unique pieces of glass that you will pick up the week after.
Booking is essential.
