Comhghall Casey has been working full time as an artist since graduating from art college in Belfast in 1998. His work focuses on creating meticulous and sparse still life studies as well as portraiture, landscape and life room work. In addition to numerous solo shows his work has been regularly exhibited in the RHA (where he was awarded the Hennessey Craig scholarship in 2008) and RUA exhibitions. In 2017 he was elected an Associate member of the RUA. He has also exhibited at the RA summer exhibition in London and the BP Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery, London. His work is represented in many collections including the National Self Portrait Collection of Ireland, the Ulster Museum and Queen’s University Belfast. He currently lives and works in Dublin.
