Alice Butler | Artists Experimental Moving Image

This clinic will be of interest to artists working in film and experimental moving image who wish to learn about developing and promoting their work.

Alice Butler is co-director of aemi, an Arts Council-funded organisation that supports and screens work by artist and experimental filmmakers. Alice is a film programmer for the Hugh Lane Gallery, and she teaches ’Through Another Lens’ at Trinity College Dublin, a module on experimental film devised with Daniel Fitzpatrick. Alice has written for Sight and Sound, VDrome, Paper Visual Art, CIRCA and Enclave Review as well as texts on the work of Saskia Holmkvist, Atoosa Pour Hosseini, Colin Martin, Sylvia Schedelbauer and Pat Murphy. Alice is co-curator of I’ll Always Remember… by Morgan Quaintance opening at TBG+S in October 2026.
