Four days, enough time to get a real feel for glass Fusion, to test out ideas that come into your head and to play with the effects that you like.
You will be taught how to cut glass, about glass compatability, the influence of temperature and time, and a whole range of techniques that can be used to influence the behaviour of glass in the kiln. You will be able to make several pieces over the time, from test pieces to finished pieces.
Linda Mulloy has been teaching glass for many years and particularly enjoys this 4 day workshop because, as she says, “People get into ‘the zone’! They get so involved in their work that the outside world disappears”.
All glass and materials are supplied. Bring ideas if you have any. If you don’t you will soon get some, as the Glasshouse is full of examples and Linda can add to those so you never get the ‘blank sheet’ problem. Lunch is not supplied. Participants usually lunch together at one of the local cafés.
