Internship | Ceramics Workshop Assistant at Barro Azul, Seville

If you have a keen interest in pottery or are a recent fine arts graduate, Capacity Ireland is offering a unique opportunity to develop your individual skills in a city that is renowned for its artisan ceramics industry.

What’s even more appealing is that successful applicants will have all basic expenses paid – plus a monthly stipend. This 3-month work experience placement at Barro Azul is funded by the Erasmus Plus programme as part of our Creative Industries training programme.

This role is for a September start.

Job Description:Description: Barro Azul is a studio which offers workshops, courses, visits, and other cultural or educational events which the ceramic history of Seville. It is based in Triana, the heart of the ceramic district of the city, and offers activities which are available to everyone, from beginner to expert level.

Role Description: The participant will carry out a 13-week internship as a Workshop Assistant in Bairro Azul, Seville. Tasks and responsibilities include assisting with workshops, translation work, and creating designs. They will be also operating on web development and social media for promotion

Start Month : September 2019
Duration:3 months

In order to support you during your work placement Capacity Ireland will provide you with the following:

  • €120 per week subsistence allowance
  • Shared accommodation (own bedroom, shared living spaces such as kitchen, bathroom)
  • Language tuition
  • Flights to and from your destination (including airport transfers on arrival in your host city)
  • Travel medical insurance for the duration of your stay
  • Ongoing support and local pastoral care for the duration of your stay
