Introduction to 3D modeling in Blender with Liing Heaney at Block T

Blender is a free, open-source 3D modeling program for everyone that allows you to model, animate, simulate and render still images, animations, visual effects and video games. You can use it to create a range of different environments, objects and characters. When you learn the basics of Blender, you will be able to apply this knowledge in animation, video game engines and VR.

Over 3 weeks, we will explore the Blender interface, building models of animals, trees, & grass as well as using cloth simulations to create a dynamic environment. We will also look at colouring your models, using particle systems, and rendering your scene. At the end of this course, you will have created your own computer generated environment
