Introduction to Arts and Health Workshop at Connolly Hospital, Dublin

This day-long programme, featuring presentations by some of the leading figures working in arts and health in Ireland, is for healthcare professionals, arts practitioners and anyone interested in learning more about this exciting field.

An Introduction to Arts and Health is organised by (managed by Waterford Healing Arts Trust) and is supported by Connolly Hospital.

This practical workshop will introduce participants to some of the practicalities of arts and health work: the principles of good practice, models of practice and how to set up an arts and health project. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the benefits and challenges of working in this field, and to view the art collection at Connolly Hospital.

Guest speakers sharing their extensive experience will include Mary Grehan, Arts in Health Curator with the Children’s Hospital Group, Claire Meaney, Acting Arts Director of Waterford Healing Arts Trust, Emma Eager, Project Co-ordinator of, and Grainne Hope, Artistic Director of Kids’ Classics.
