Talbot Rice is seeking to fill two important positions: Gallery Manager and Exhibitions Manager. Both roles are essential to achieving the ambitions of one of Scotland’s leading art galleries, within the enriching and inspiring environments of the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art.

Gallery Manager
The Gallery Manager role will hold responsibility for financial management, strategic development and relationships within the University, estate management and future estate development.

Working with the Director and key University colleagues, you will manage the operational activities, finances and organisational strategy to meet commitments to the University, Creative Scotland, artists and audiences. Inspirational, highly organised and with proven experience of managing finances, management accounts and staff, coordinating and inputting across multiple projects, and possessing excellent communications and customer care skills, you will also bring a good working knowledge and understanding of practices in the publicly funded arts sector to this key role. This is a senior role in the Gallery, and sits alongside the role of Exhibitions Manager, currently being advertised.

This post is open ended and full time (35 hours/week).
Salary: £33,199 – £39,609 per annum

Exhibitions Manager
The Exhibitions Manager role will hold responsibility for the project management of exhibitions, stakeholder relations and international logistics around the exhibitions programme.

Working with the Director and key University colleagues, you will manage the production of exhibitions, stakeholder relationships, and exhibition budgets to meet commitments to the University, Creative Scotland, artists and audiences. Inspirational, highly organised and with proven experience of exhibition project management, budget management, and extensive knowledge of the logistics around international contemporary art shipping and production, coordinating and inputting across multiple projects, and possessing excellent communications and customer care skills, you will also bring a good working knowledge and understanding of practices in the publicly funded arts sector to this key role. This is a senior role in the Gallery, and sits alongside the role of Gallery Manager, currently being advertised.
