Job Vacancy | Business Developer and Fundraising at The Hunt Museum

Application deadline: 10 January 2019.

The Hunt Museum are looking for someone to help us raise money to support change, education and their gorgeous Georgian building.

The job has two key areas of responsibility: revitalising the endowment fund for use against future major building works; and sponsorship and corporate event development, where you will obtain sponsorship for our major exhibitions and develop our corporate events package. They therefore need you to develop relationships with Charitable Foundations and look further afield for grant funding. You will be supported by a Fundraising Committee when working on the major exhibitions and will work with the museum director all other aspects of fundraising and business development.

The Hunt Museum is a not-for-profit organisation with the aspiration of being a centre of learning and civic life. Our mission statement describes how we will achieve this by preserving and use of our world class collections; catalysing new collaborations and innovation and increasing public engagement in the collections, the museum, its exhibitions and events.

You will enjoy talking to people and will have worked previously as a Business Developer in the Fundraising area. You will be highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative, ensuring that all duties are completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. The ability to work outside office hours on occasion will be needed and a broad knowledge of the museum would be a plus.
