Job Vacancy | Events and Community Manager at Science Gallery, Trinity College Dublin

Closing date for applications: Tuesday 29 January, 12 noon.

Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin is looking to appoint an Events and Community Manager who will play a key role in the production, leading the conception, planning, and management of compelling, inspiring and buzz-worthy events and event-series.

The Events and Community Manager, alongside the programming team, will be responsible for developing and managing a wide range of self-produced events and mission-related events in Science Gallery Dublin working with a variety of external organisations and partners. The events developed by Science Gallery Dublin will aim to build up a core community of regular visitors and to build the gallery as a ‘third place’ for an emerging community of innovators that sees no boundaries between science and art or between entertainment and entrepreneurship.

Science Gallery Dublin presents four exhibitions annually on diverse themes, from design and violence to light and love, and from contagion and biomimicry to the futures of the human species and play. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a hunger to express creative energy with one of the city’s most forward-thinking institutions, sharing the commitment of a strong overall team.

The gallery engages over 400,000 visitors annually, has a target demographic of 15-25-year-olds and is an informal learning institution with every aspect focused on public engagement in the arts-science field.
