The School of Painting constitutes our specialist programme on painting and pictorial practices and is one of four international MFA programmes at the Schools. The School of Painting focuses on painting and pictorial practices, taking its starting point in the evolution of painting in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and in our present-day pluralistic approach to painting. The School of Painting is primarily supported by the laboratories for graphic art, painting and colour.

The School of Painting will accommodate approximately 25 students on its three-year MFA programme. The School is housed at Charlottenborg, where the students have their studios and where parts of the teaching will take place.
