The Board of Management, Principal, Staff and the wider school community of Clonkeen College are commissioning site specific artworks under the Per cent for Art Scheme. They wish to commission an original, permanent visual artwork that reflects the character and ethos of their school and place at the heart of the community of Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Clonkeen College is an all boys’ voluntary secondary school under the Trusteeship of the Edmund Rice School’s Trust (ERST).
The selection process will take the form of a two-stage process competition. It is open to all interested professional artists at any stage of their career or experience.

The total budget available to fund the site specific artworks, is €51,000. This is inclusive of all predicted costs, the artists’ expenses and V.A.T.
The Selection Panel will consist of nominees from: Board of Management, Parents Association, an independent artist and The Design Team (Principal, parent and teacher).
Artists are requested to register their interest to firstname.lastname@example.org , stating their interest in this project and reference Per Cent for Art Commission in the subject bar. All further communication will be emailed to to the registered artists. Interested and registered artists will have access to the architectural drawings.
All submissions will be assessed and a shortlist of between three and five artists will be formed.
The commissioner shall issue an official order for Stage Two that will detail the requirements for submission at this Stage. The school will not be liable for any costs or expenses in excess of €500 (inc.VAT and all other charges). Payments will follow the reciept of an invoice after presentation of the submitted proposal before the Selection Panel.
