Application deadline: 28 April.
The STAND Student Art and Photo Competition is calling on students across Ireland to get creative and think about how they can use their art to inspire other students to think about climate change and what they can do to take action.
Stand are looking for submissions from all kinds of student artists, photographers, designers and writers. You can enter individually or as a group and your entry can be anything that can photographed or scanned, including:
Photographed sculpture / installation
Poetry / Prose (max 50 words)
A cash prize of €500 will go to the overall winner, along with €200 for second place, €100 for third place, and phone credit worth €30 for each of the runners up.
Entries will be judged by an independent panel to create a shortlist of 10 winners whose art will feature in our exhibition. We will then put all 10 winners to a public vote for first, second and third prize.
The closing date for entries is April 28th.
Full details of the competition are available at STAND.ie/Art. The website also features resources for you to find out more about climate change, its impact on a global level, and Ireland’s role in causing it and tackling it.
