28 March 2017, 7 to 9pm
A4 Sounds, St Joseph’s Parade, Off Upper Dorset Street, Dublin 1
This is another in the Abortion Rights Campaign series of skills swops where you can come along to experiment in the use of different art media to bring visibility to the call for Free, Safe, Legal and Accessible Abortion Access in Ireland. No previous experience or art and activist skills necessary!
Project Catch Up:
The first 30 minutes of this event will be dedicated to planning discussions in small groups on works-in-progress. New people are welcome to get involved in these projects that include:
– our upcoming Reproductive Justice Walking Tour of Dublin
– Rock for Repeal Fundraiser
– Sew for Repeal Event
– Voices for Choice Flash Choir
From 7.30pm, artist Rob Ireson will demonstrate a DIY hand held mobile device for guerrilla projections he has made for Abortion Rights Campaign. Participants will be shown how to design and create unique stencils for use with the handheld projector. Siobhán Clancy will co-facilitate the workshop with some tips on using lights in other activist devices. Eimear Sparks will let everyone know about a guerrilla action you can get involved in very soon.
More info about Rob and Siobhán and Eimear below.
This skills swop series is free to all ARC members. Membership is €5 per year. You can sign up on the night. Membership benefits include 10% discount on our merchandise. For everyone else, a donation is suggested per workshop: €3 unwaged/€5waged
This is a pro-choice event, not a space for debate. We welcome all in favour of abortion access.
