Using acrylic paint, participants will and explore light and colour, composition, form, surface and pictorial space and will focus on elements of the natural world.
The 2-day workshop is suited for beginners and those looking to improve their painting skills and will include demonstration and practical assistance.
Paper and small canvases will be provided, however participants must bring their own brushes, palettes, jars and rags.
Roisín McGuigan’s practice encompasses painting, drawing and mixed media. Her work uses the iconography of landscape to reflect issues of identity and relationship with place. McGuigan lives and works in Dublin and is a graduate of National College of Art and Design and Burren College of Art. A member of Pallas Projects/Studios in Dublin, Roisín is also a participant on the London based Turps Banana painting programme this year.
