As it draws nearer to its 100th Anniversary in 2028, The Gate Theatre promises through a world-class programme of performance to reinvigorate existing work and explore progressive new voices and forms. It is committed to identifying and nurturing a new generation of artists and launching them onto the world stage.
The Gate is now seeking a Director of Development to lead the growth of fundraising and develop a sustainable income of over €2m annually from a range of sources including individuals, trusts and foundations and corporates.
This is a strategically important role within the senior management structure of the Gate Theatre, as it is a new role, the initial contract is for 2 years.
The Director of Development will plan, develop, organise, and direct all of the Gate’s partnership and donor engagement activities including: major donor engagement; corporate partnerships and sponsorships; developing and managing a Friends and Patrons programme; legacy promotion; and capital campaign planning.
