Birr Festival of Music is calling for submissions for their first dedicated exhibition of work inspired by the theme “Where Music Meets Art”. Exhibition runs from 9 April to 17 May 2019. Works to be delivered on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 March between 1 and 5pm.
“Where Music Meets Art” is an exhibition to celebrate the unique interrelations between art and music in conjunction with the Birr Festival of Music, 3 – 6 May.
Artists are encouraged to submit artwork that encapsulates the theme “Where Music Meets Art”. The theme is of a classical nature and they encourage artists to keep in mind attributes of all things classical such as orchestra, opera, composers, instruments, musicians, singers and song etc.
This show is open to all media including painting, drawing, print, photography, sculpture etc, though pieces must depict representations of music and voice in any way shape or form.

Artists can submit a max of 3 pieces for consideration. Any work that is determined not to meet the spirit of the exhibit will not be accepted.
Please note: There is no artist fee for selected artists.he festival will not cover transport or accommodation, but installation, insurance and the opening reception will be covered by the festival. 15% commission will be charged on sale of works. Artists will not be expected to invigilate the exhibition or be onsite for installation and take down, all this is covered by the festival. Artists must submit a short biography with their submission. Artists will be notified if their works have been selected /unselected by email or phone.
