Basic Space is a contemporary art organisation, operating from a gallery/studio space in Temple Bar, Dublin, with a programme of residencies, exhibitions, and educational events in collaboration with institutions throughout Ireland and the UK.
Basic Space seeks to appoint a Co-Director responsible for the management, development and administration of the organisation with an emphasis on visual art and educational programming. The successful candidate will have a particular responsibility to maintain and develop collaborations with institutions and practitioners nationally and internationally. Basic Space looks to expand its operations and continue to provide space and opportunities for artists and contemporary art practitioners more broadly. The ideal candidate should have the vision and ambition to craft and implement a successful policy and programme as a part of a team.
This is an unsalaried position, requiring a minimum commitment of 15hrs a week. The Co-Director will be paid a fee per project in addition to work-related expenses.
