Motley Crow is proudly Irelands first Anti-Cafe; a place where people can come to work, socialist, network or just chill out. A place that rather than pay for the product (tea, coffee, cakes), you pay for the time you spend within the premise and have unlimited access to the facilities, including a industry standard coffee machine, a range of cakes and other snacks, Wi-Fi, a computer suite and more. Motley Crow aim to bring together local entrepreneurs and other business affiliates, with creative, open-minded artists and other exciting individuals – all the while showcasing examples of art from local and national talent.
Motley Crow would like to invite artists to exhibit their work around the building for two to four week periods. Motley Crow are hoping to attract artists in the Donegal area. Emerging artists are encouraged to submit.
Please note: There is no fee for artists to hire the venue. There is no artist fee. Collection of the artworks can be arranged or if artists wish to deliver the works, a reimbursement of travel costs is available. Staff will be on hand to assist with installation.
Motley Crow don’t sell the art in house, however intend to connect artists with members of the public who’s eye their work may have caught, building networks for the artists and potentially opening up sales opportunities, possible work or opportunities.
Motley Crow have large hanging spaces, which can be adjusted to the size of the intended piece, as well as multiple places for sculptures and ceramic work. Going forward they also intend on hosting music nights such as open mic and acoustic sessions; and plan to expand their use of digital content such as holding short film events compiled from local work.
