Deadline for entry: 20 September.
Murze artist call ‘Reality’ is seeking artists exploring ideas surrounding escapism, fantasy and surreal reality. Breaking away from traditional methods this artist call is seeking artwork that incorporates digital technology; either using digital methods for image creation or using technology as a means to display and exhibit the piece; i.e. projection, either way, including the use of technology in the process.
Murze want you to send in a set of up to six images relating to the theme ‘Reality’ This open call hopes to explore the place of technology as well as the virtual worlds we create and explore within the digital age. With the rate of technological growth exploding in recent years we want to explore its place in the artworld and share how artists make use of new charging processes in their practice.
Please note: There is no fee paid to selected artists. Non refundable admission fee of £8. Images submitted must be at least 300 DPI. There are no other entry requirements, this competition is open to all.
The portfolios submitted will be reviewed and juried by the Murze team, and six artists will be selected as feature artists as part of murze issue eight, coming out in September. A further selection of artists will have work featured throughout the magazine. All other work will be featured across our website.
