Studio Maelor was founded in 2014 by visual artist Veronica Calarco and is located at the bottom of Snowdonia National Park, Wales. The residency program seeks to operate on a sustainable, ecological not-for profit basis. Residencies at Maelor aim to provide artists the experience to develop their own practice whilst meeting other diverse individuals/groups at various stages of their careers. In 2015, Stiwdio Maelor started an annual competition, the aim of which is to enable an artist to win an opportunity to complete a residency at Maelor.
