Deadline for applications: 1 September 2019.
DAS is now accepting applications for the next Home Residency, which is open to artists based in the UK and Ireland.
This four-month residency will run from October 2019 to January 2020, inclusive.
The residency offers the selected artists time to work on a specific project of their choice, develop their skills and artistic practice. DAS welcome proposals from artists from any background who engage with digital technologies to push the boundaries of their own practice and indeed, to a certain extent, the cultural world around us.
Please note DAS new studios are based on the second floor of the Cathedral Buildings in central Belfast, which unfortunately has no lift access.
The Home Residency fee of £60 per month entitles you to a personal iMac workstation programmed with relevant software such as Final Cut Pro X and Adobe CS6. You will have 24-hour access to the shared studios, access to a range of equipment (DSLRs, video & sound recording equipment), and technical support and advice from staff during office hours.
Residents are exempt from equipment hire and workshop fees. By accepting a Home Residency the artist enters into a contract to pay £60 per month for that four-month period.
Principal funder: Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
