Join Ann Quinn for an informal artist’s talk and exhibition walk-through of ‘The Place Where I Stand to Look Out Over This World’. Since she was a child Quinn has liked to sit or stand in nature. After a while things start to happen, like a story unfolding before her eyes. Through her paintings she tries to capture the atmosphere of a place where she once stood, so the viewer is now standing in her place.
‘The Place Where I Stand to Look Out Over This World’ is Quinn’s second solo exhibition at Taylor Galleries and the paintings in the exhibition are from places where she has stood over the past year – Donegal, Dublin, Kildare and Farrera, a tiny village in the Pyrenees Mountains, Catalonia. It runs until 8 October 2016.
