Judith and Holofernes Life Drawing with Dublin Drawing at Block T

This is a untaught afternoon class in drawing the figure from life, using the motif of Judith and Holofernes as a starting point.

The aim is to explore the Judith and Holofernes theme in a series of drawings, using props and costume. The model will adopt various positions so that you can build up a bigger composition, or work on a series of smaller drawings if you prefer.

The evening will start at 2.15PM with some slides and a brief discussion of the theme, and then we will start drawing 2.30PM, with short break about half way through for a cup of tea and a brief further exploration of the ways artists have depicted certain aspects of this theme and different times.

This will be an untaught session- there will be no drawing instruction – just some brief discussions of art history.
