Limerick Cultural Strategy Public Meetings in April
Limerick Arts Office, Limerick City and County Council is calling on the arts and culture community and members of the public to play their part in the formation of a comprehensive new Cultural Strategy for Limerick.
A series of public meetings will be held in Limerick throughout April to help develop the Strategy which will form part of Limerick’s bid for European Capital of Culture 2020 and feature two strands covering the periods 2016-2020 and 2020-2030.
These Public Meetings are hosted in partnership with Limerick City and County Council Area Offices Newcastle West and Rathkeale, Friars’ Gate Theatre and Arts and Dance Limerick.
Tuesday 12th April
Limerick City and County Council Area Office in Newcastle West, 1.00pm-2.30pm
Rathkeale Arts Room, 5.00pm-6.30pm
Thursday 14th April
Friars’ Gate Theatre and Arts, Kilmallock, 12.30pm-2.00pm
Friday 22th April
World Café, Dance Limerick, 1.00pm-4.00pm

Your role
The development of the cultural strategy is being led by Limerick Arts Office and the Limerick 2020 team on behalf of Limerick City and County Council and its partners. Following the adoption of the cultural strategy by Limerick City and County Council, it will be lead by the council and benefit communities and cultural organisations across the region. So your views count.
The Cultural Strategy working document will be available on line from Monday 11th April at www.limerick.ie/council
