Limerick Printmakers are currently welcoming applications for new members of its spacious printmaking studio.
LP is committed to promoting printmaking as an art form and providing facilities and an inclusive environment that supports artists in their individual aims.

As well as being an open access printmaking studio, LP also facilitates exhibition opportunities for its members alongside defined education, bursary and community engagement/mobile printmaking programmes.
LP and its members regularly take part in collaborative print projects with national and international third level institutes and print studios.

The studio hosts print facilities for relief, intaglio & planographic printmaking including (but not limited to) lino & woodcuts, etching (multiple acid baths), aquatint, letterpress, stone & plate lithography, silkscreen etc.
The studio also features a darkroom, Epson 7800 digital printer, paper guillotine, metal guillotine, members storage, canteen.

A variety of membership packages focus on the individual’s needs and commitments. e.g. supervised access, Student, Associate or time-based packages. Members are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

– Proof of competent professional studio practice and relevant experience in printmaking
– Submission of a selection of work (jpeg, tiff etc.) with an up-to-date C.V. and completed application form via email
– An informal meeting with a staff member of the studio may be required
– Two references are also required, one of which must be related to technical printmaking experience
