Minister Madigan Announces Appointment of Dónall Curtin to the Arts Council

The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan, T.D. has announced the appointment to the Arts Council of Mr. Dónall Curtin for a period of 5 years from 5th December 2018.

The appointment follows a public call for applications on and an assessment process.

Commenting on the appointment, Minister Madigan said: “I am delighted to appoint a candidate of such high calibre and congratulate Dónall on his appointment. He is an experienced board director and business leader with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Dónall is an avid supporter of the arts, having consulted with and advocated on behalf of several organisations in Ireland, UK, France and USA to promote the role of the arts. I wish him the very best during his term and thank him for taking on this very important role.”

Dónall Curtin is a highly experienced non executive director, accountant and chartered director. He has been a member of the board of directors of Visual Artists Ireland since 2011.
