This webinar considers the elements of tax relevant to self-employment, including use of home costs, travel costs and general expenses. Louise also reviews how to manage any capital expenditure on large items of equipment and how to offset potential losses against other income from prior or future years. We also discuss how best to keep records of your income and expenditure.
Louise Gorman is a Chartered Management Accountant and Managing Director of Balanced Business Solutions, BBS (NI) Ltd. BBS is dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management by maximising the use of resources, including people, processes and technology. Louise has extensive experience of finance within the arts, having worked with local theatre companies including the Grand Opera House, the Mac, the Lyric Theatre, and is a past Chair of Bruiser Theatre Company. Louise has been delivering training for over 10 years, including a business start-up program.
