Recorded on 1st of September 2020
This event is designed to help festival organisers adapt to a rapidly changing world.
Two things in particular have challenged festival organisers: COVID-19 and the rapid adoption of the internet as a platform for delivering a programme.
We will explore the legal aspects of this new landscape so you are in full compliance with legislation and your insurance policy.
We will also look at what questions you will need to consider when thinking about how work is presented online, and how this is reflected in the contracts with your artists.
- Jo Mangan will be be talking about what impact these changes are having on the Carlow Arts Festival and how they are adapting.
- Sean Lawlor from EventInsure twill talk about what the implications of the new landscape are for your insurance requirements.
- Brenda Tobin, solicitor (not included in recording)
- Karl Wallace, Head of Festivals at the Arts Council, (not included in recording)
This event is held in partnership with Clare County Council Arts Office, Limerick City & County Council Arts Office and Tipperary County Council Arts Office
