One Day Porcelain Tea Light Workshop with Chloë Dowds at Schoolhouse for Art
This one day workshop will be led by the multi-award-winning ceramicist, Chloë Dowds. During the day, participants will learn about the properties of porcelain, a material developed in China roughly 1,400 years ago.
Throughout the class students will be shown how to create and develop different textures in the porcelain, to allow the light to shine through in interesting patterns. Each student will have the chance to create their own tea light holders in a variety of different styles and shapes. The finished pieces will then be fired in the studio, ready for collection shortly after the workshop.
This workshop is sure to be a relaxing and rewarding experience.
Open to students at all levels.
