Open Call | 8×8 Festival, Photo Exhibition

Application deadline: 30 June

The 8×8 Festival is a photo exhibition developed for students which tours campuses in Ireland to highlight global justice issues. The 8×8 Festival 2018 will explore the complexities of identity through narratives of mutual respect and discrimination. This year’s Festival will engage students in narratives from a diverse range of communities; promoting critical awareness of key issues surrounding discrimination in Ireland and globally.

The 8×8 Festival this year is going to present multiple perspectives surrounding discrimination in Ireland. They are collaborating with advocacy groups and individuals to give them a platform to share their stories of discrimination in Ireland. To pair with these stories of discrimination, we are asking artists to contribute photographic works that reflect on discrimination in Ireland.
